Indian Embassy attestation in the UAE

UAE-issued documents that are going to India for work, family, study, court or business use are normally legalised by the Indian Embassy in the UAE once the earlier UAE-side stages are complete. Each mission sets its own forms, appointment rules and document requirements, and these change from time to time.

From our Abu Dhabi office we take care of the full Indian Embassy journey: reviewing your paperwork, arranging the appointment if the mission asks for one, submitting, tracking and collecting the result, and completing the UAE MOFA stage where relevant.

The Indian community in the UAE is large, so this is one of the busiest routes for UAE-issued degrees, marriage certificates, police clearance and powers of attorney used for property, banking and family matters in India. Our India Kerala branch can also help you with the India end of the process.

Frequently asked questions: Indian Embassy Attestation

The mission checks the earlier UAE authentication on your document and adds its own legalisation so that authorities in India can rely on it. Forms, appointments and fees are set by the mission, and we handle the process for you.

Usually the UAE-side stages, including MOFA where it applies, come before the mission. Because the sequence can differ by document, we confirm it with you first.

Where an appointment is needed we arrange it and let you know the date. Whether you must attend yourself depends on the mission and the document, and we say so before you pay.

Commonly UAE degrees, marriage and birth certificates, police clearance, powers of attorney and commercial papers. Requirements differ by document type, so message us with yours and we confirm.

There is no single timeline, because it depends on the mission, the type of document and how soon appointments are available. We put an expected timeline in your quote.
