Embassy or consulate attestation, often called legalisation, is a stage where the mission of the country where your document will be used confirms the earlier UAE-side authentication. It is commonly needed when UAE-issued documents such as degrees, marriage certificates, police clearance or company papers are going abroad.
Every mission sets its own forms, appointment rules and document requirements, and they change from time to time. DocsWorld checks that your document has finished the earlier UAE stages, prepares it for the mission, coordinates the appointment where one is needed, submits it, follows up and collects the legalised document. Where it applies we then complete the final UAE MOFA stage.
Embassy attestation is done by the mission of the destination country and confirms the document for use there. MOFA attestation is done by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Many UAE-issued documents need both, in an order we confirm for you.
We support a growing list including the Indian, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Spain, Portugal, Korean and Sri Lankan embassies and the British and German consulates. See our embassies page for the full list.
That depends on the mission and the document. We tell you whether your personal presence is required and handle everything else, so you only attend when it is unavoidable.
Timelines depend on the mission, the document type and appointment availability, so we confirm an expected timeline in writing before you commit.
